Clocks sencillo de la banda británica de rock alternativo Coldplay, fue escrita por todos los miembros de la banda para su segundo álbum A Rush of Blood to the Head. Segun Chris Martin, Clocks esta inspirada en la banda británica Muse.
La banda antes de escribir Clocks ya tenían 10 canciones para el álbum y pensaron que sería muy tarde incluir esta canción en el disco y entonces ellos grabaron un demo de la canción y la guardaron junto con otros tracks incompletos titulados como “songs for #3″, hasta que la escucho phil harvey (amigo de martin) y le encanto, así que decidieron agregarle letra y trabajarla para incluirla en el segundo álbum.
